Esther D. Kloety, 94, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Hillview Healthcare Center. She was born in Westby on December 16, 1915 to Oscar and Olga (Haugen) Nerison. She married Ronald E. Kloety in Waukon Iowa on November 13, 1939 and he preceded her in death on November 23, 1989. Esther was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Ann's Altar Society, Ladies of the Moose and (RSVP) Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She enjoyed baking, cooking and knitting hats and mittens that she donated to the Salvation Army. Above all Esther loved spending time with her family especially her great-granddaughters.

She is survived by her son, James (Sherry) Kloety of La Crosse, a brother, John (Virgina) Nerison of Coon Valley, granddaughter, Tracy (Clinton) Bast of La Crosse and two great-granddaughters, Allison and Aria.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, her parents, two sisters, five brothers and a brother in infancy.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1333 S 13th Street La Crosse. The Reverend Larry Berger will officiate and entombment will be in the St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum at the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kathryn Dalton and to the staff at Hillview Heathcare Center for the wonderful care they gave to Esther.
