Obituary for Steven R. Ustby
Steven R. Ustby, 56, of La Crosse passed away Saturday June 5, 2010 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. He was born February 21, 1954 to Raymond and Evelyn (Olson) Ustby. Steven married Diana Hauser on May 15, 1982. He worked as a dispatcher at Croell Redi Mix concrete company. Steve loved watching NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and grilling. He was a member of Whitetails and Ducks Unlimited.
He is survived by his children, Rachael (Josh) Houser of Texas, Brent (Megan) Ustby of Holmen and Chelsea (Paul) Ustby of Prairie du Chien, his former wife, Diana Hauser, sister, Carol (Alan) Rindahl of Holmen, two brothers, Russel (Helen) Ustby and Jeff (Ileane) Ustby both of Holmen, three grandchildren, Madison and Brayden Houser and Alexis Manning. He is also survived by special friends, Drew and Emma.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Holmen Lutheran Church, 228 Morris Street. The Reverend Dan Henderson will officiate and burial will be in the Long Coulee Cemetery. Friends may call the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 515 McHugh Road Holmen, today from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and again at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Steven R. Ustby Memorial Fund.
