Obituary for Carl G. Lesky
Carl Gene Lesky, 79, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at his home. He was born on April 3, 1931 to Frank and Ida (Quadzinske) Lesky. Carl served in the United States Navy. He married Shirley Bennett on June 15, 1957. Carl was a very avid golfer. He was an active supporter of the UWL Quarterback Club and Logan High School Football Program.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, three children, Kimberly (Jim) Gilbride of Menasha, WI, Troy (Michelle) Lesky and Carl Jay Lesky both of La Crosse, two sisters, Maxine and Geraldine, three grandchildren, Michael Lesky, Sean Gilbride and Danielle Lesky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the North Presbyterian Church, 1327 N Salem Rd. The Reverend Scott Skogen will officiate and burial with military honors will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Carl Gene Lesky Memorial Fund and the monies will be used to support Carl's favorite activities. The Dickinson Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
