Phyllis E. Burcum, 89, passed away Monday, April 19, 2010 at Hillview Healthcare Center.  Phyllis was born on March 22, 1921 in Mound Prairie, Minnesota to William and Meta (Vix) Bottcher.  She married Eugene Burcum on February 18, 1947 in La Crosse and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1979.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Ray) Erickson of West Salem, Ray's sons, Tyler Erickson and Evan Erickson both of La Crosse, her brother, Kenneth Botcher of La Crosse, her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bottcher, Valerie Botcher and Carol Lunke, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents as well as sisters, Lillian, Esther, Ethel, Lois and Sylva Ann, and brothers, Irvin, Raymond, Arthur and Alec.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 1425 Jackson Street.  The Reverend Scott Skogen will officiate and burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call the funeral home on Thursday from noon until time of services.  Memorials may be given to the Morris Animal Foundation in Denver, Colorado.  Friends may visit www.dickinsonfuneralhomes.com for information or to send condolences to the family.
