You have gone on without us
and we are left behind.
No paths can yet
take us to that
far country where
you are now
at home.
But I speak daily
with the
Master
of that place;
and He assures me
that
all is well.
(Author unknown)
Peace be with you.

While I mourn the loss of Aunt Shirley, I hold in my heart fond memories of her in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with one and all. Aunt Shirley, I now know (no matter how hard Tom and Kay tried to convince me otherwise)there are no hippos in the Wisconsin waters of the Mississippi River! Rest in peace my dear aunt. God bless those of us left behind.

Jo and Tommy, I'm so sorry to hear about Aunt Shirley's passing. I know that her health had been an issue for a while, but one is never ready to finally say goodbye. She will be greatly missed.
I'm thinking of you both and praying for you all.
With love,
Kay

We just want to express our condolences to Shirley's family. Kathi's dad, Dr. Joe Durst, and sister, Barb Durst, lived next door to Shirley since 2003. She was a wonderful neighbor to them and she will be sorely missed. May your memories of Shirley bring you comfort, knowing her pain is over.

To the family of Shirley,
There are very few people that have made a difference or influenced my life. One of those people was my Godmother, Shirley Haley. Growing up she always made time for me and remembered every birthday with a gift and a dinner out or if I was really luck a evening on the houseboat. There are many days I am sitting on our boat and I think of her often, she is the reason I love the water and boating! Sam, Shirely, Tom and Jo were an extended family that treated me like a member.
I am sorry to say that as life rolls on I lost touch at times, that is not to say that your family was not always in my heart. I feel blessed to have spent sometime with Shirley a few months back. My daughter, Brianne and I will forever remember that afternoon. Please know how much of an impact she had on me, you all had on me.
My thoughts are with each and everyone of you.
God Bless

Jo and Tom,
It was an honor and a privledge to have known and taken care of Shirley. She was a lovely lady and her smile was always the first thing you would see when Shirley was around.
She was surrounded by the best friend in the world and the best Son anyone would or could ask for. She was truly blessed.
I just wanted you to know that we will miss her and she will always be remembered. I truly loved Shirley. She always appreciated even the smalled of things.
My deepest sympathy. The ache in my heart shows my loss of a friend.
