I (we) were so fortunate to have known Mahlon with his involvement at the Legion and the 40&8. Mahlon was one in a million, very kind and gently soul. He will be missed by so many on so many levels. I see him and Stretch swapping stories and watching over all of us. My sympathy to his large family because to Mahlon, everyone was family.

I`ll always be grateful to Mahlon(Dad) who taught me about deer hunting and 2 week camping trips. He may not of realized how much of an influence he had in my life. It saddens me to know he will be gone, but I will never forget him. I feel bad about not being able to be there. I pray for the peace of God to cover all my brothers and sisters during this time. God Bless

The World will definetly be a less happy place with the passing of our very dear friend. Mahlon was indeed loved by many, especially our family. Our thoughts and prayers will be his family through this very difficult time.

My sympathy goes out to your family at your loss. Mahlon helped me find my father (his cousin, I believe) Lenny Arentz about 15 years ago. I really appreciated it, but don't think I had a chance to tell him. He was very kind, understanding and helpful when I called and asked questions. (Another) Debbie Arentz Brewster MN

One of my dads closest friends for my whole life. Mahlon was always the nicest guy in the world to me. I remember hanging out at the legion when I was young and always seeing Mahlon's friendly face on those occasions. Funny thing was, the way his name was pronounced I think I was about 13 before I figured out his name wasnt "Mahlum". My dad doesnt use the internet so I will say it for him...."You are one of my oldest dearest friends and I will miss you, Mahlon"!!
