Guestbook for Kevin L. Luhman
Sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers are with the family. I went to High School with Kevin and he was an all around great guy. There was not a person that he would not talk to. When ever you would see him he was smiling. It breaks my heart to hear of this. My prayers are with you.

We met Kevin in the mall at Mr. Cinnamon. He was always the first smiling face of our morning as we started work each day. I was always amazed that he remembered each and every person's "usual" as far as mall walkers, workers, etc. He knew everyone's likes and dislikes for coffee and rolls. That's because Kevin had a way of connecting with people. Because of that, Alex helped recruit Kevin to work with him at Goodman Jewelers. We have many special memories of Kevin. He helped us knock out a wall in our house, just diving in with a sledge hammer and doing the dirty work. He also came to many bday parties at our house for our son and family. I saw him every day in the mall for years between Mr. Cinnamon, Goodman, and Kay Jewelers, and it is so hard to think of him being gone. I'm so sorry for his family and friends as he will be dearly missed by many. Kevin, may you find peace in knowing that we all love you and miss you.

I was stunned to read about the passing of Kevin and when I saw the obit, I said "That's my friend!" I first met him more than 15 years ago when I worked in La Crosse. He had the nicest smile of ANYONE and had a way of making a person feel special. I would stop to see him just to raise my spirits, and maybe it was the cinnamon, but he always smelled so good. :) Even now, I think about what a sweet guy he was. May he rest in peace.

I was walking through the mall today, and all I could think about was Kevin. I almost expected him to look up....and smile, and wave....the way he always did whenever I would see him. I have never met anyone quite like him. He would go out of his way to say hi, he would do anything for anyone! When my son was a junior in high school...only 17 years old, Kevin let him borrow his beautiful red convertible to take his girlfriend to prom. Who does that???? Only Kevin! He was a wonderful, kind person. Anyone who knew him will never ever forget him! I know my family won't! Kevin, you will truly be missed!

First, my thoughts and prayers are with family and so many friends he has come in contact with.
There are a lot of genuine memories of Kevin! Where to begin...smiles and kindness that is where one begins. If someone wasn't smiling he knew how to make that person smile. His smiles were infectious. His kindness was truly remarkable and his strong suit. One hopes he has found the peace he was looking for. He truly will be MISSED by many.
Until we meet again...

As many hearts as you have touched and filled with happiness.... many more are hurting deeply missing you. The day I met Todd you became a part of my life. What a wonderful addition to my family - Todd and Kev a package deal, I happily accepted that. I love what you meant to each other -Cousins by blood but best friends by choice. You mean so much to me and I will love you forever but what you mean to Todd- I can't put that into words. He loves you so much.
I am very angry that you left us early but in the same breath we are so lucky to have you in our lives for the short amount of time that you graced us here on earth. I promise to take care of Todd and please watch over us. I need all the help I can get ;) I love ya Kev. You were one in a million babe.

I first met Kevin in High School. My best friend and I were Seniors and Kevin and his cousin Todd were Freshman. Everybody knows as Seniors you're supposed to pick on the Freshman, but that never happened... we all became friends. We even got to experience detention together! GOOD TIMES! 8-)
I sometimes referred to Kevin, back then, as "Little Luhman", but looking back on the person he was, he was "bigger" than alot of us. He didn't find faults in people, he found the good in people. You could be having a bad day, run into Kev, and in minutes you'd be laughing and having a good time. He really made a positive difference in the lives of the people who knew him.
I thank God for allowing me to have known Kevin. He will be truly missed, but never forgotten.
Rest in peace, my friend.

Lucky Lu, it's hard to say goodbye to you. The memories of high school come flooding back and a smile crosses my face as I type this as I remember how much trouble myself, you, Dan, Todd, and countless others managed to get ourselves into on many, many ocassions.
I've loved you like a brother and that smile that always made me smile will be missed. I'll carry you in my heart this year to the first Badger game I go to, and I'll close my eyes and remember a beautiful day last fall when Wisconsin whipped Michigan and my friend smiled at me in the top row of the stadium...and I knew he was happy.
Rest well my brother, for you will be missed

Kevin was always such a great guy to chat with at the mall. When I worked at the mall, he always went out of his way to say "Hi!" Even now, after I left the mall, he would see me and stop me to chat or give me a quick grin and smile if he was busy with his customers. He will be greatly missed. May the many wonderful memories we all carry of Kevin bring us Peace. RIP Kev

The last time I saw Kevin was over New Years Eve. I remember feeling complete, being around hometown friends that feel like family, how happy I was that we were all together. Kevin has been such a special part of my life and all the special memories, good times we had. I will never forget our high school parties and how he would help my Mom clean up afterwards by drinking the left over beer! Being able to call him on a moments notice to tell him the girls are coming in town and he would be there. Kevin took a part of each of us with him on Wednesday and I hope he is in a better, peaceful place. To my dear friend Kevin, I love you and you will be missed.
